Swimming Carnival

It was wonderful to be able to have the whole school community back at Engadine Leisure Centre for the Secondary Swimming Carnival. Under clear skies participant numbers where strong as students took the opportunity to get wet. Some wonderful performances saw a number of records fall. Inaburra will have an extremely strong team competing at Zone on Monday 13 March.

The Zone Touch Football gala day was held on Monday 27 February at Vale of Ah Reserve. Inaburra had 8 teams across the four divisions and 80 students competing. The students behaviour, attitude and effort throughout the day was exemplary. Inaburra took out all 4 divisions with some fantastic team touch being played. A big ‘thank you’ to students and parents for their commitment to morning training leading up to the event.

CIS Football

Well done to our Open Boys and Girls Football teams that both scored wins in round one of the CIS Cup. The teams Headed out to Lynwood Park to take on Broughton Anglican College. The girls came away with a comfortable 12-0 win with Captain Isabella Raad and Trinity Gibson starring. The girls will play the winner of Northern Beaches CS and Oxford Falls. The Boys came home with the win in a much tighter affair 3-2. Two long range goals from Captain Kos Tsmiklis ensured that the boys will now face St Philips Christian College Newcastle in Round 2.

Under 15 Cricket- Wiburd Shield

Our Under 15 cricket teams 2022/23 season came to an end last Wednesday. The team which won the CSSA championship earlier in the term lost in a close match against St Lukes in the Semi- Final of the Wiburd Shield. Inaburra batted first and made a small total of 64. St Lukes looked to be cruising at 0/34 before an Ethan Stoddart hat trick changed the direction of the match. A number of other wickets made it a close finish but St Lukes steadied to reach the required total for the loss of six wickets.
