MULTIMEDIA TEACHER
Temporary full-time
(Maternity leave cover)
Commencing Term 3, 2021 and concluding at the end of Term 1, 2022
The ability to teach Stage 5 Photographic and Digital Media and Stage 6 Industrial Technology Multimedia.

CANTEEN ASSISTANT/S
The canteen is run by the School, to provide high quality lunches and snacks, with any profit being put back into the school. The canteen has a full time Canteen Manager and due to changes in demand, we are looking for additional staff on a permanent part time basis to work alongside the existing team.

About the Role
You will assist in the day-to-day operations of the canteen and will perform a range of tasks in relation to its operation, including:

  • preparation of hot and cold food and snacks
  • putting together lunch orders
  • over-the-counter cash register sales with students during break times
  • stock control and monitoring
  • cleaning
  • working with volunteers who help in the canteen
  • supporting the Canteen Manager

You will principally report to the Canteen Manager and beyond to the School Bursar.

To be successful you will need to:

  • have experience in food service
  • enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • understand food hygiene standards and issues relating to food intolerances
  • have good communication skills
  • have a can-do attitude and a desire to be a positive member of the existing team
  • collaborate with the Canteen Manager
  • enjoy working with volunteers and engaging with the children

Hours of work

The canteen operates with three service periods (recess, lunch and after school). The canteen also provides catering for school functions and events.

Your hours of work would be approximately 8.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, though we also will consider a job-shared position to allow for flexibility across the week. Staff may be required to work extra days, or after hours should the need arise, though this will be negotiated on a case by case basis.

The canteen is closed during public holidays and also for most of the school holidays (some staff catering will take place prior to the commencement of each term).

Salary rates will reflect the experience of the successful candidates/s, in line with Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2017.

ICT APPLICATIONS AND SYSTEMS SUPPORT OFFICER

The ICT Team provides service to the whole School community.

About the Role

You will assist in the day-to-day operations of the ICT team. This includes:

  • First support contact for issues relating to key platforms eg Sentral – School Management System (SMS), Xero – Financial Management System (FMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Microsoft SharePoint – Document and Records Management System (DMS/RMS)
  • Diagnose and solve issues as they arise
  • Contribute to planning and continual improvement of the School’s provision of ICT
  • Develop and maintain the integration and inter-operability of systems across the School
  • Use SQL or APIs to analyse or extract data to support and report from enterprise applications
  • Provide Level 1 ICT support to staff and students

The position reports to the ICT Manager.

To be successful you will need to:

  • Have relevant tertiary IT training or significant related experience
  • Enjoy working with a wide variety of people – staff, students, parents and suppliers
  • Have excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
  • Have a desire to be a positive member of the existing team
  • Have exceptional problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate experience with a wide range of applications (e.g. Microsoft Windows Server, Office365 and AWS, Google Workspace for Education, SSO)
  • Have a current WWC check for paid employment

Experience in a School environment would be advantageous.

Hours of work

Your hours of work would be 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday although there may be times when after-hours work is required to ensure critical systems are fully operational in school hours.

This is a full time position with four weeks of annual leave per year.
