Australian Schools Cross Country Championships
The Australian Schools Cross Country Championships was held in late August at Oakbank Racecourse, Adelaide South Australia. Jesiah Low (Year 10) was representing NSW at the top level of school sport in Australia. Jesiah competed in a number of races over the weekend in tough wet conditions. Jesiah finished 19th and also completed a 2k time trial where he finished in 3rd place.
CSSA Zone Basketball – Open
Congratulations to our Open Boys and Girls Basketball teams that won the CSSA South Met Zone Gala day in week 6. Both teams played some great Basketball to qualify as the Zone representative at CSSA State in Week 8. The wins rounded out a great week for Inaburra sport with Inaburra coming home winners in all 4 divisions.
CSSA State Oztag
On Wednesday and Thursday last week the Inaburra Oztag teams headed out to Werrington to compete in the CSSA State gala day. All four teams came up against some tough opposition in their group stages but progressed comfortably. The Under 15 girls defeated Illawarra CS in the semi with the Under 15 boys beating Shire CS. Both squads faced off against Mamre Anglican school in the final and came home with the win. The Open Boys progressed through the group stage undefeated before losing 3-2 in a nail biter against Shire CS. The Open girls played some great team football to beat Greenacre in the final, making it three from 4 for the Inbaurra Oztag teams.

A big thanks to Mrs Lang, Mr Barber and Coach Dewhurst for their efforts in preparing the teams for the Gala Day The early morning training sessions ensured all teams were well prepared.
