During the Summer break some of our Year 12 Science Extension students were fortunate enough to participate in the Science Extension Mentoring Program through UNSW Science, SciX@UNSW.

SciX@UNSW connects NSW Year 12 high school students studying Science Extension with UNSW researchers to work on research projects that follow their own line of inquiry whilst accessing the resources and expertise of the UNSW scientists. Leading academics at the University have designed a set of tools, resources and equipment to support students with their specific investigations. The research projects are overseen by UNSW academic research staff and are delivered primarily by research PhD students.

Inaburra’s Science Faculty is very proud of all the students who participated in the program and their teachers have had wonderful feedback from the University supervisors. Find out more from one of the participating students, Alexis Argyropoulos, as she discusses her astro biology project from the UNSW SciX summer school 2020.
