Students will walk/run as many laps as they can at Billa Road Oval to raise funds and awareness for Katoke Lweru Secondary School in Tanzania. As a Junior School we are aiming to cover 350km, with each student completing a minimum of 3 laps = 1km (approximately).

Parents are welcome to join and can even walk/jog with your child/ren. Years 3-6 will start from 9:00am and Kindergarten – Year 2 from 9:30am. At 10:30am we will stop for a morning tea picnic where students will be treated to a drink and donut as a thank you for their efforts.

NSW PSSA State Basketball Championships

Congratulations to Tori Veleski (Yr 6) who was named Team Captain of the CIS Girls Basketball team that made the grand final match at the NSW PSSA State Basketball Championships in Tamworth. It was exciting for Tori’s friends to be able to watch the grand final match at school via a live stream during lunch.  There were big cheers for Tori each time she got the ball and scored!  Unfortunately the CIS team went down to Mackillop 57-32, however, a silver medal at state level is an outstanding achievement and Tori has shown she has a bright future ahead in Basketball.
