Wed 5/Thurs 6 April – NSW PSSA Swimming Championships
Congratulations to Rachael Young who on the last day of Term 1 headed out to Homebush to compete at the NSW PSSA Swimming Championships where she finished 15th in the 11 Years Girls 50m Butterfly in a time of 35.92. This topped off an outstanding term of swimming for Rachael who consistently swam many personal best times over the season.
Sports Heroes Day Fun Run Fundraiser
What a glorious day we had for our fun run with all students shining in their running and their fundraising efforts for the Shire Salvos. And to see so many parents and grandparents coming along to support their children by running with them and sponsoring them made it an even more special Inaburra community event. Just over $5,000 was raised – just outstanding – thank you Inaburra! Thanks to Coles at Kirrawee who donated $200 to cover the costs of the donuts and drink treats the students enjoyed at the end of their run. Also thanks to the Bangor Brumbies Football Club who allowed us to use their power so students could run to some funky tunes!
CSSA Primary South Met Zone Girls Football (Soccer) Gala Day
Inaburra sent four teams to the first ever CSSA Primary South Met Zone Girls Football (Soccer) Gala Day on Monday 1 May at The Ridge Playing Fields. The girls were outstanding in their sportsmanship and had a great day interacting with girls from other CSSA schools and improving their soccer skills and knowledge. It was wonderful to see how they supported each other in their matches with enthusiastic cheering for their friends. Both our A teams made it through to the finals, with our Junior A team finishing runners up and our Senior A team winning the final. This means our Senior A team will head to the CSSA Primary Girls State Football Finals in Week 8 this term – congratulations girls!
Samson Scott – Skateboarding
Samson Scott (Year 6) recently competed in the Lodown Greenhills Skate Competition and was awarded best bowl run for juniors – congratulations Samson!
