CIS Tennis
Mitchell R ( Year 12) and Alicia W (Year 9) played as members of the CSSA Tennis team at the CIS Championships earlier this term. Coming up against some top quality opposition both students performed exceptionally well.
NSW All Schools Triathlon
The NSW All Schools Triathlon was held at Penrith International Regatta Centre in 2024. Congratulations to Levi M (32) and Oliver D (21) who competed in the individual events and placed incredibly well. Inaburra entered two Junior teams for day 2 of the competition with the Junior girls (Rachael, Ellie, Brooke) and (Levi, Callen, Finn) both finishing in the top 30.
Zone Touch Football
The annual CSSA South Met Zone Touch Football Gala Day was held at Vale of Ah Milperra on Monday 28 February. Competing against 9 other schools in our zone Inaburra had 71 students and 7 teams on show. The teams had been working hard at morning training sessions to ensure the best possible results. Inaburra came away taking out 3 out of 4 divisions and will have a large number of students heading to CSSA State touch football later in the term. Again a big thankyou to the coaches below for sacrificing their time to support our touch teams.

CIS Boys Football
The Open boys football team faced off against Amity College in round one of the CIS Cup. The boys played some good football in hot conditions. Going down 1-0 in the first half the boys showed great team spirit to come back and take the game 3-1. Special mention to Lachlan R with 3 goals. Captain Zac S and Sam J put in solid shifts at Centre back to keep Amity out in the closing stages. The boys will face Newington in Round 2.
CIS Girls Football
Our Open Girls football team hosted MLC at Seymour Shaw last week. After an extremely tight affair throughout the match went to the dreaded penalties. Unfortunately the girls went down. Mr Wadds was extremely impressed with the girl’s attitude on and off the pitch. The team will now play Norwest CS in the Plate draw.
CSSA Hockey
The CSSA Hockey Gala day was held at Narellan Hockey Centre in 2024. A big thanks to Ms Lynch who gave up many hours traning and preparing the teams. Both the Boys and Girls teams improved throughout the day and played some solid team hockey. Well done to the girls who made it through the group stage losing in a tight semi-final.
CSSA U16 Football Trials
Mateus L, Christopher G and Jamie R headed out to CSSA Under 16 Football trials on Monday 4 March. All three boys currently play NPL1 and dedicate many hours to their football craft. Congratulations to Mateus who was selected in the CSSA representative team to play at the CIS Championships later in the year.
Run2Cure
Run2Cure is held annually in The Domain and attracts between 5000 and 6000 participants. It is a charity event fundraising for research into the aggressive childhood cancer, neuroblastoma. Run2Cure Domain registration is open. You can choose from a great selection of run distances including 21.1k, 10k, 5k, 3k, 2.2k Relay and 1k Little Heroes Walk. In 2023 a number of Inaburra staff and students current and former took part. If you are a keen runner or someone looking for some fun please join us in 2024 and join the team Run4Wesley. This is a cause very close to our PDHPE and if you would like any further information you can contact Mr Wadds.
Interschools Snowsports Championships 2024
In 2024 Inaburra will be entering students in the Regional Interschool Snowsports Championships. In 2024 the Sydney Championships will be held from 16 -19 July at Perisher. Please be aware that it is the responsibility of parents to supervise all aspects of their son’s/daughters involvement at the competition and before and after competition each day with accommodation and meals.
