Senior School Swimming Carnival

The 2024 carnival saw a move to Sutherland Leisure Centre for the first time. Unfortunately some unfavourable weather early in the day made it a quieter day with 80 students taking part. The swimmers put on a show with some incredible times being produced. Eight records fell across the day with some fantastic races. Inaburra will have an extremely strong squad competing at Zone in March.

CSSA Open Boys Cricket

On Monday 6 February our Open Boys Cricket team travelled to Singleton to take on Carinya CS in the final of the CSSA competition. After a long morning on the road the boys bowled first and kept Carinya to 119 off 40 overs. Lachlan Ritchie finished with figures of 4/5 and was supported by Mitchell Searles 2/22 Off 8 overs. The run chase got off to a shaky start with both openers falling in early. However a great partnership between Lachlan Ritchie (62) and Ethan Stoddart (46*) steadied the innings. Inaburra chased down the total with 15 overs to spare. Congratulations to the students on taking home the shield for the first time in a few seasons. Special mention to Year 12 students Lachlan Ritchie, Ryan Owers, Alex O’Connor and Thomas Staples who all played their final game of cricket for Inaburra. The four students have been a major part of the success of the cricket program over recent seasons.

U15 Wiburd Shield Cricket

Inaburra took to the hallowed turf of the Ridge Playing Fields against Moriah College in round 3 of the Wiburd Shield on Wednesday. The boys elected to bat and posted a big total of 9/178 off 40 overs. Ben Dicello (45) and Ashton Epplett (55) the top run scorers. After the change of innings it was clear the match was going to be a nailbiter. Moriah were cruising at 3/150 with ten overs to go until an Inaburra fight back ensured a victory for the good guys with Moriah all out 5 runs short of the total. Nick O’Flynn 4/22, Jordyn Barry 2/31 and Franklin Yenson 3/11 the best of the bowlers. Inaburra will now play Scots Albury in the final four
