June 21 Update

Oceania Athletics Champion

Emma Lee (Year 12) has recently returned from her first International event in far North Qld Mackay where she was a member of the Australian team competing in the Oceania Athletics Championships. Emma blitzed the field to take home the Gold in the U18 200 metres and backed up on day 2 to join teammates to win the 4×100 relay setting a new Oceania record. An amazing achievement from a rising superstar on the track.

CSSA Volleyball

During week 8 our Secondary School Volleyball teams headed out to Hawkesbury Indoor Sports Stadium to compete in the CSSA State Volleyball Gala Days over two days. All four Inaburra teams showed tremendous sportsmanship and teamwork throughout the competition to finish with some strong results. A big thankyou to Mr Tomlin who coaches the Open Boys team and Ashton Yee (Coach) who supported the Under 15 Mixed and Open Girls in their preparation and competition.

CSSA Netball

On Monday 6th June Inaburra’s Under 15 and Open Girls netball teams headed out to Jamison Park Penrith to compete in the CSSA State gala Day. The girls played some great netball throughout the competition with both teams progressing out of the group stages. Unfortunately both teams came up against some strong opposition in the quarter- final stage and bowed out. A special mention to Chloe Barrett who has been selected in an extended CSSA Under 15 Squad. Chloe will attend a final trial during week 9. Thanks to Mrs Grant (Opens) and Mrs Lang (Under 15) who trained and coached the girls in 2022.
