This year has started with a great sense of encouragement for the staff at Inaburra. We are always looking for new ways to provide the best possible education for our students. I thought it might be nice to share with you all a small snippet of what we get up to on our pupil free days.

Our teachers spent several days at the start of this year engaging in some professional learning prior to students returning. We met to learn more about the ways that we can promote confidence in our students and to support everyone to develop their learning power. We have also been trialling a new way to learn from each other. In 2019 teachers met in small teams from different year groups and subject areas to observe different teaching methods and to discuss ways that we can help every student to progress positively. This year we will be continuing this practice. There will be times when classes may have someone observing what is being taught or the strategies being employed so that we can all continue to be learners.

Our staff is excited about this opportunity as we are keen to show our students that we never stop learning and that working collaboratively is of enormous benefit. We are looking forward to being learners of our own practice even if it means stepping outside of our comfort zones.
