CSSA Primary State Swimming Carnival
Our team headed to Homebush for a twilight swim meet on Thursday 9 March for the CSSA Primary State Swimming Carnival. Congratulations to the following swimmers who placed in their races and competed in the CIS Primary Swimming Championships this week.
CIS Primary Swimming Championships
On Wednesday 22 March, 11 Inaburra students competed at Homebush in the CIS Primary Swimming Championships – this is our biggest team to CIS in many years! Some great results with the following students making finals: Ewan Lichner, Andrew Wright, Rebecca Wright, Rachael Young, Jazz Crampton, Eleanor Wolf, Callen Matthews. Our most outstanding result on the day was Rachael Young who placed 3rd in the 11 Yrs Girls 50m Butterfly and is off the the NSW PSSA State Swimming Championships at the end of this term.
Run2Cure
Run2Cure is held annually in The Domain and attracts between 5000 and 6000 participants. It is a charity event fundraising for research into the aggressive childhood cancer, neuroblastoma. Run2Cure Domain registration is open. You can choose from a great selection of run distances including 21.1k, 10k, 5k, 3k, 2.2k Relay and 1k Little Heroes Walk. In 2022 a number of Inaburra staff and students current and former took part. If you are a keen runner or someone looking for some fun please join us in 2023 and join the team Run4Wesley. This is a cause very close to the hearts of our PDHPE team and if you would like any further information you can contact Mr Wadds.
Interschools Snowsports Championships
In 2023 Inaburra will be entering students in the Regional Interschool Snowsports Championships. In 2023 the Sydney Championships will be held from 10 -14 July at Thredbo. Please be aware that it is the responsibility of parents to supervise all aspects of their sons’/daughters’ involvement at the competition and before and after competition each day with accommodation and meals.
