It has been a wonderful, full past few weeks both in the classroom and with co-curricular activities permeating the school once again. All dance groups, music ensembles and sports activities are in full swing. What a joy to watch our students participate in these opportunities after such a long break.
Parent volunteers have also returned on site for training, as they prepare to engage with students in classrooms. We look forward to their contributions in the weeks to come.
We are also delighted for the return of K-6 school assemblies. It was so encouraging to be together today in one space, celebrating achievements across all Stage Groups. We will review and update parents on an ongoing basis around parent attendance at assemblies, as we continue to monitor COVID activity within our school community.
We celebrated 17 students as they competed at the CSSA Primary State Swimming Carnival on Monday, giving it their everything and representing the School with pride. Several students qualified for the next level of CIS Primary Swimming Championships; a terrific achievement!
Our Buddy Program is set to return over the coming weeks, with students from Kindergarten, Year 1, Year 5 and Year 6 participating in relationship building activities. Activities will commence in an outdoor setting to remain vigilant as we continue to navigate the blending of stage groups.
A few important road safety and parking reminders:
- Parents and children are asked to use the pedestrian crossing at all times when crossing Billa Road – no exceptions – please make safety your number 1 priority
- When dropping off in the Kiss and Drop zone students are to remain in the vehicle until you reach the Kiss and Drop zone sign approximately halfway along the Billa Road front. This will decrease the temptation for vehicles to ‘dive’ in as gaps open up in the car line
- Please be mindful of our neighbours when you are parking or stopping around the school perimeter.
