Inaburra offers weekly sport to all students, except Year 12. 

 

In years 7-10 students compete for their school on Friday afternoons in the SCCC Competition against St. Patrick’s Sutherland, Aquinas Menai, De La Salle Caringbah, OLMC Burraneer Bay and John Bosco Engadine.

  

We also compete to State/National level in the following sports:


Cricket, Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country

Inaburra enters boys’ teams for the CSSA Cricket Competition at the Under 14 and Open level. An Open girls’ team is also entered. Inaburra also enters teams in the CIS State Competition and competes annually for the Steve Small Trophy. 

 

Swimming

The Inaburra Swimming Carnival is held in February/March each year.  Students who perform well at the carnival go on to represent the school in CSSA and CIS Competitions to State Level.  Elite swimmers have opportunity to represent at the All Schools State Championships.

 

Athletics

As with swimming, successful athletes compete in CSSA and CIS Competitions to State level.  Further representation is available through to the All Schools State Championships. The Pacific Games are held each four years.

 

Other competitive teams take part in Inter-school or Gala Day competitions in the following sports:

Other Sports

Friday afternoon is compulsory sport for all students in Years 7-11.  Year 12 have academic lessons. A range of recreational sports are on offer to students who do not qualify for school teams.
