Mr Brett Hartley is the Head of Senior School (7-12) at Inaburra. He is assisted by Mr Liam Bailey, the Director of Curriculum (7-12); Mr Greg Smith, the Director of Welfare (7-12); and Mrs Sue Gaskell, the Director of Student Services.
The formal curriculum at Inaburra follows the syllabi of the NSW Board of Studies, which culminates in
the award of the Higher School Certificate at the end of Year 12. The vast majority of Inaburra students complete Year 12, earning a Higher School Certificate and an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank. Inaburra has a strong and growing tradition of academic excellence.
Students have a full and varied program of learning in Years 7 and 8, studying: English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Biblical Studies, Mandarin, PD/H/PE, Information Technology, Technology subjects (Food, Wood, Metal, Design), Music, Art, Library. The resources and facilities in these subjects are excellent, providing opportunities for students to thrive. Both Apple and PC computing platforms are taught and utilised.
In Years 9 and 10 all students in NSW study the following mandatory subjects: English; Mathematics; Science; Australian Geography, Civics and Citizenship; Australian History, Civics and Citizenship; Physical Development, Health and Physical Education; and Computer Skills. At Inaburra all Year 9 and 10 students also study Biblical Studies. These years also provide the opportunity for students to choose three elective subjects from the following list, although it ought be noted that whilst most subjects are timetabled each year, the availability of each subject is dependent on class sizes:
