Inaburra has built an excellent reputation for the quality of its musicals, creative arts, drama, media production and dance performance.

School Musical Productions

One of the highlights of the school calendar is the school musical production. Senior and Junior Schools alternate the productions from year to year. Last year Senior School students performed Boarding Call and in 2023, Junior School students performed Frozen Jr. These shows are staged in our Performing Arts Centre and provide a unique way to bring together a range of talents, year groups and learning areas as it involves students in media production, visual arts, back-stage management, music performance, lighting and set construction.

Drama & Dance

Drama classes regularly perform for the wider school community. Elective classes perform for parents and friends each term as well as school events such as Open Day and Showcase Evenings. Theatre visits are an integral part of the program.

Inaburra’s comprehensive Dance program includes Ensemble groups for Junior and Senior School students and Dance as an Elective subject from Year 9 to Year 12. Dance students are provided with a wide range of performance opportunities within the school community performing at the school’s Open Day, Showcase Evenings and Presentation Events as well as Sydney-based Eisteddfods.

Inaburra regularly has HSC major works in visual art, design and technology selected for display, and music and drama work selected for performance. The nights are a good opportunity to view the talent and hard work of students.

Media

Inaburra School has a thriving media program and its state-of-the-art facilities enable students to create high quality productions. Major events such as Sports Carnivals and Musical Productions are filmed and edited and large-scale events such as Presentation Events and Music Showcase evenings feature livestream feeds. The aim is to develop students into visually literate film makers.
