I am delighted to welcome you to Inaburra.

This website exists for two groups of people. Those who are already members of the Inaburra family will find many useful and informative resources here, as well as news about activities and events in the life of the school. At the same time, I hope that this website conveys something of the essence of education at Inaburra to all those who are browsing.

Inaburra is a school that is deeply committed to education that nurtures, challenges, inspires and develops the individual, equipping them for the world of both today and tomorrow. All students come to their schooling with their own strengths, weaknesses, experiences, needs and potential. A good school will provide avenues for individual strengths to be developed and celebrated and for individual weaknesses to be supported.

However, education at Inaburra is not directed towards individuals alone but individuals in relationships. As a Christian school, we believe that people are created as relational beings; for this reason, education ideally takes place within communities. We learn through the ebb and flow of relationships, through learning to trust and having the confidence to query, through trying to be understood and seeking to understand.  For these reasons we are committed to cultivating authentic respect, humility, integrity and compassion in our relationships.

I trust that this online experience helps you to appreciate something of Inaburra’s life. You would be very welcome to come and experience for yourself the life and ethos of Inaburra School.

Mr Tim Bowden became Principal of Inaburra School at the start of 2011, succeeding Dr Paul Burgis.
