Global Education
As a Christian School Inaburra believes that education should be about service. In line with our school motto, the purpose of knowledge is love.
Inaburra thus provides opportunities for students to find out about and contribute towards other communities. Our global education program is still developing. Currently we provide an opportunity for our Year 10 students to be involved in reciprocal relationships with the Spastic Centre in Sydney, an indigenous community in Northern Queensland and a community in Vietnam. We are forming friendships with schools in China, Rwanda and Tanzania.
Our first global education trips took place in 2008. After the School Certificate, Year 10 worked with the Spastic Centre, an indigenous community or a community in Vietnam. They were involved in activities such as English conversation lessons, orphanage visits and football clinics. It was a very successful program.
