Curriculum Overview

The Curriculum

Inaburra School is a registered and accredited school, teaching the NSW Board of Studies Curriculum from Kindergarten to Year 12.  Students sit for the School Certificate Examinations in Year 10 and the Higher School Certificate in Year 12.

Inaburra students move through the school as follows:
• In Years K-6 students are part of the Junior School. Year 6 students are the leaders of the Junior School, but they also take part in the Middle School Program. This includes Middle School subjects such as Science and Technology, as well as an introduction to the Middle School Assembly. Year 6 is thus a Transition Year.
• In Years 7-9 students are part of the Middle School. In these years there is a strong focus on developing excellence in literacy, numeracy and creativity. Year 9 students are leaders of this section of the school.
• In Years 10-12 students are part of the Senior School, studying for the School and Higher School Certificates. Year 11 and 12 students share leadership in this section of the school.
